2013 GMC Terrain Denali Revealed

GMC has unveiled the 2013 Terrain Denali. This car is one of the most luxurious crossovers in its segment.The models is distinguished by a signature chrome grille, new headlamps and taillamps, satin chrome accents, body color front and rear fascias, body color rocker panels with satin chrome molding and chrome finish exhaust outlets. Premium touches in the cabin include soft-touch black leather with contrast stitching on the seats and door panels, red accent lighting, soft-touch instrument panel with French stitching, leather-wrapped steering wheel with wood accents, illuminated front sill plates and smoked mahogany wood trim.

Among the standard equipment are eight-way power driver and passenger seats, color touch radio, smartphone integration, iPod controls and such safety technologies as forward collision alert and lane departure warning. The brand also is replacing Terrain’s optional 3.0-liter V6 in model year 2013 with a larger, more powerful 3.6-liter unit. The direct-injected 3.6 makes 301 horsepower and 272 pound-feet of torque, and will provide fuel economy equivalent to that of the 3.0, GMC said. The Terrain Denali also can be ordered with a 2.4-liter Ecotec inline-4 and comes in both front- and all-wheel-drive variants. The four-cylinder model comes with 18-inch wheels and tires, while the V6 gets 19s. Both are connected to a six-speed automatic transmission which can be backed up by an optional all-wheel drive system. The Terrain Denali will go on sale in the third quarter of 2012 and pricing will be announced closer to launch.
