Infiniti Emerg – E Concept could be related with the Lotus brand? The prototype presented at the Geneva Motor Show is would be not very far from the Evora 414 Hybrid concept.

According to Car and Driver, the Infiniti Emerg-E would be born on the same engine platform as the sports English. If common genes can nest under the hood, it is understood that Infiniti and Lotus have each their own design of vehicle wrapping.

The two entities are attached to the respect of the environment and working with a government agency that develops technologies in this sense (UK’s Technology Strategy Board).

Lotus has benefited from the research work of this Agency for the implementation of the Evora 414 Hybrid concept in 2010. Then, it is the Nissan premium brand which has benefited from this expertise including that dedicated to the concept of one of his rivals on the market.

As the Evora 414 Hybrid, Infiniti Emerge-E relies on two electric motors. They operate independently at the rear wheels with a single transmission and are connected to a three-cylinder block offering a combined power of 408 horses.

Infiniti has not yet ruled on a possible production of its concept. According to Motor Authority, the Japanese firm must first test several models of demonstration this summer.
